One plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Everything we coat runs through one building at 1603 North Pitcher Street in Kalamazoo. It is a 100,000 sq. ft. (9,290 m²) plant with six coating lines under one roof: a computer-controlled fluidized bed dip line, three electrostatic spray lines, and two lines dedicated to our specialty processes. About 100 people work here.
Running everything from one location is deliberate. Parts do not move between plants, engineering and the floor are a short walk apart, and when a job needs a second look, the people who ran it are still on site. Kalamazoo also puts us within a day’s drive of most of the Midwest supply base, including Detroit, Grand Rapids, Chicago, and northern Ohio.
What we do
Wright is a specialty applicator, not a general job shop. We are ISO 9001:2015 registered and one of a small number of approved Rilsan® Nylon 11 applicators in North America. Customers come to us when the coating has to do real work: dielectric insulation on EV and energy storage components, corrosion and chemical resistance on brackets and fasteners, squeak and rattle control on interior hardware, or a durable finish on plastics that normally cannot be powder coated at all.
We also take on parts other coaters turn down, including complex geometry, tight masking, and mixed substrates. Where it helps, we handle assembly, inventory management, and finished goods packaging before the parts ship.
