CoPolymer PE Coating Services
Ask Us A QuestionWhat is Copolymer Polyethylene Coating?
Copolymer Polyethylene is a multi-purpose thermoplastic powder coating designed to meet a wide range of performance qualities including excellent mechanical performance, impact resistance, and ultraviolet (UV) protection. It provides a wide range of performance qualities such as excellent mechanical performance, impact resistance, and ultraviolet (UV) protection.
- Superior general-purpose protective coating
- Maximum mechanical performance
- Impact resistance
- UV-stability
High Impact Resistant Coating Services
Copolymer PE coatings are used when a tough, high-impact coating is called for. Typical applications are Outdoor Furniture, Fencing, Face masks, Bike Racks, Playground Equipment, Decking, Tree Grates, and Bollards. There also are various Industries that benefit from this coating such as Automotive, Industrial, and Furniture.
All Copolymer PE coatings utilize Copolymer Polyethylene (CoPE) chemistry to provide ultra-high adhesion and performance properties. Polyethylene Copolymer coatings are ideal when an all-purpose high-performance coating is needed. The abrasion and impact resistance is unsurpassed, and with more than 2000 hours of salt spray testing, Copolymer PE provides excellent protection against corrosion and UV exposure. Copolymer PE powders are available in a number of special formulations and blends to meet varying finishing and protection needs.
Technical Information
The Polyethylene Copolymer coatings we apply can be used to meet a variety of performance requirements based on your particular needs. You may wish to refer to this table to identify the most appropriate coating for your application.
Application Methods
Our Copolymer PE coating services are processed in either electrostatic spray or fluidized bed applications offering both a functional and aesthetic coating.
The electrostatic spray application is sprayed with a dry powder that is fluidized with air and then is post cured. Electrostatic Spray is generally applied at a thickness ranging from 2 to 10 mils (thousandths of an inch).
The Fluid Bed polymer coating is applied through a dip process where the part is preheated and dipped into a dry powder that is fluidized with air and then posts cured. Fluid Bed polymer is generally applied at a thickness ranging from 5 to 40 mils (thousandths of an inch). Typical coating application temperatures are usually in the range of 180°C to 250 °C (360°F to 480 °F).
Co-polymer PE-based powders are recommended for both interior and exterior applications. We are an ISO 9001:2015 registered coatings applicator.
